A lab report can:

  • Show where results fall within laboratory reference ranges.
  • Highlight results or areas that may need attention.
  • Help you understand whether certain measured levels are high, low, or within range.
  • Help you research and better understand factors that may affect measured levels.
  • Help track changes in the same tests over time.
  • Help you prepare informed questions for your healthcare provider.
  • Allow you to use the AI assistant to better understand the language, values, and organization of the report.

A lab report cannot:

  • Diagnose a medical condition by itself.
  • Replace advice, diagnosis, or treatment from a licensed healthcare professional.
  • Replace emergency medical services.
